This is the current market for you.  The price guide for this house was $900k, but it sold for $1M. Yes, it is completely finished, but realistically it is only a one bed house and only 75sqm! Yikes. So though nothing really should be done to it. I may make a few changes.

So following the floor plan above, I would remove the bookshelf below and make this room the living room.

The kitchen is pretty safe/plain, so to jazz it up I would put a black splashback and some black bar stools.
