Home - City/Small Spaces
Here are a series of small studio apartment designs with different floor plans.
This first studio I am hooked on because of the kitchen layout. Rather that on the wall, they have turned it around and put most of the equipment on the island with storage on the side wall. Ingenious. Rather than looking at the wall, you are looking into the unit, also the outdoors. And I love also the window bench too. What a communal kitchen.
For the rest of the unit, the only nit-pick I have is that I would prefer to put a curtain around the bed, just to section it off a bit. I wonder if you would put the bed, where the closet is and put glass bi-folds there, with a curtain, for privacy? Then given there is a wide hallway, put the closet on the bathroom wall and make an cave-like enclosure into the bathroom.
For this next apartment, I love how it is so open, but I wonder if the kitchen is just a bit too big for the unit? And considering the above apartment, I wonder if flipping the kitchen to an island would have served it a better use of space? I love the colours and tones of this place though, and it has a balcony!
Also, referencing the previous apartment, if you like your bathroom with glass walls, then this apartment could be your preference?
I like the floor plan for this unit, and think the kitchen is suited to the wall as it makes the apartment light and airy.
This next apartment is your typical studio, but they have made it more appealing I think. They have also, built in a lot of storage space with the hallway cupboards and the walk in robe. What do you think?
