Here There Wherever

Here There Wherever - Events

How cool is this way of catering for a Ice Skating Party!

An old wheelbarrow serves as a makeshift table for this tailgate; fill thermoses with hot coffee, cocoa and tomato soup. Wooden crates hold the makings for hot dogs ready to be cooked over an open fire, and rolled dishtowels serve as rustic napkins.

A bonfire will thaw out fingers and toes, and provide the perfect spot for making s'mores. Pack graham crackers, chocolate bars and homemade marshmallows in brown paper bags, so guests can easily grab all the fixin's. Decorate simply with snowflake stamps and a white ink pad.

I think it is the heavy brown colours, but it is not my favourite room, but still it looks nice. Got a bit of quirkiness to it that I like.

Also thought this was funny, this is a good leveler, and this was to be taken with a chocolate croissant, cafe au lait and humor, then go get on with your life.

Seems that each room in this place has a point of interest.  I am thinking modern art deco....and yes the stairs are a winner.

Home - Feature (Country)

I like this country style living room. Though if you look at the rest of the house here, it seems to belong in a completely different house ...

Here is another country cottage that is a little bit more to my liking. This dining room particularly and the stairs below...

Though on another scale, check out this mountain cabin.  Now this is really country... I am thinking The Waltons with this place.

The secret of success is concentrating interest in life, interest in sports and good times, interest in your studies, interest in your fellow students, interest in the small things of nature, insects, birds, flowers, leaves, etc. In other words to be fully awake to everything about you & the more you learn the more you can appreciate & get a full measure of joy & happiness out of life. I do not think a young fellow should be too serious, he should be full of the Dickens some times to create a balance.
- LeRoy Pollock, writing to his 16-year-old son (and future abstract expressionist painter) Jackson in 1928.
